Jeffrey S. Olson

Chief Executive Officer
has served as Chief Executive Officer of Equity One since 2006. Prior to joining Equity One, he served as President of the Eastern and Western Regions of Kimco Realty Corporation from 2002 to 2006. Mr. Olson worked on Wall Street from 1996 to 2001 as a REIT analyst with Salomon Brothers, CIBC and UBS. Spanning the five year period from 1991 to 1996, he held a variety of financial and accounting positions at The Mills Corporation. Mr. Olson also practiced public accounting at Reznick, Fedder and Silverman, CPA’s, where he worked from 1986 to 1990.

Mr. Olson has a Master of Science in Real Estate from The Johns Hopkins University, a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Maryland and was previously a Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Olson is on the board of NAREIT.

Thomas Caputo

President
serves as President of Equity One. He is responsible for acquisitions and dispositions, property management, leasing, as well as our investment management program. Prior to joining Equity One, Mr. Caputo was an Executive Vice President at Kimco Realty Corporation where he headed Kimco’s acquisitions group and was responsible for new investments in excess of $10 billion dollars, including three mergers with public companies (Mid-Atlantic Realty Trust, Price Legacy and Pan Pacific). In addition, he was responsible for Kimco’s portfolio management group which oversees Kimco’s numerous joint ventures with institutional partners (assets under management $14 billion). Previously, he was a principal with RREEF, a pension fund advisor, overseeing nationwide retail acquisitions and dispositions, and was a member of its investment committee.

Mr. Caputo received a Bachelor of Arts from Randolph Macon College.

Mark Langer

Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
serves as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer for Equity One, Inc. He is responsible for all accounting, investor relations and finance functions and also oversees the Company’s information technology, sustainability and corporate responsibility initiatives. Langer joined Equity One in January 2008 and was named CFO in March 2009. He had been with Johnson Capital Management since 2000 serving as the Chief Operating Officer overseeing the infrastructure, technology and portfolio management functions while working with third party broker dealers to assess investment opportunities. Previously Mark was an audit partner at KPMG LLP in Washington, DC where he was also responsible for recruiting, employee training and practice development programs.

Langer graduated from James Madison University with a BBA degree, majoring in accounting.

Aaron M. Kitlowski

Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary
has served as our general counsel and corporate secretary since February 2012, our deputy general counsel and assistant corporate secretary from March 2011 to January 2012 and a vice president since joining us in March 2011. Prior to joining us, Mr. Kitlowski served as a Chief Counsel of CIT Group Inc., a finance company, from September 2005 to March 2011. From 1997 to 2000 and again from 2001 to 2005, Mr. Kitlowski was an associate with the law firm of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in New York, New York. Mr. Kitlowski received a B.A. from Duke University and a Juris Doctorate from Duke University School of Law.

Michael Berfield

Executive Vice President of Development
is currently Executive Vice President of Development based out of the New York City office. His responsibilities include the development of the 330,000 sq. ft. Gallery at Westbury Plaza, a new development adjacent to the existing Westbury Plaza Shopping Center, as well as handling acquisitions of other assets in New York. Prior to this position, Michael was a principal in a joint venture with one of the largest residential owners in New York City and, before that, worked for Vornado Realty Trust where he oversaw development of several retail projects in New York City including a million square foot development in Rego Park, Queens.

Arthur L. Gallagher

Executive Vice President and President, Florida
serves as our Executive Vice President and President of our Florida region. He oversees our Florida portfolio and is responsible for all operating functions, including leasing, property management, acquisitions, dispositions, development and redevelopment. Mr. Gallagher joined Equity One in 2003 as the company’s General Counsel where he was responsible for the company’s legal, transactional and regulatory affairs, including corporate governance, real estate acquisitions and dispositions, corporate and capital market transactions, SEC compliance and litigation issues.

Prior to joining us, Mr. Gallagher was with the law firm of Greenberg Traurig, P.A. in Miami, Florida focusing his practice on mergers and acquisitions and capital market transactions. Prior to joining Greenberg Traurig in 1999, Mr. Gallagher was with the law firm of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in New York City focusing his practice on real estate finance, mergers and acquisitions and credit and lending.

Mr. Gallagher received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with honors and distinction from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and a Juris Doctorate from Duke University School of Law.

Joshua Kagan

President, Northeast
is currently President, Northeast for Equity One, Inc. Prior to joining EQY in 2012, he was Managing Principal of WestRidge Realty Advisors, a boutique investment manager and operator of retail real estate. Before forming WestRidge in 2005, Mr. Kagan was Chief Investment Officer for AmCap Incorporated, a private equity real estate firm with retail and office properties nationwide. Mr. Kagan has experience in virtually all facets of real estate, including acquisitions & dispositions, capital markets, (re)development, asset management and leasing.

Mr. Kagan holds an MBA from the University of Denver and did his undergraduate work, with a concentration in Philosophy, at the University of Michigan. An alumnus of Harvard, he is a graduate of the University’s Advanced Management Development Program in Real Estate. He is active in professional organizations, including the ULI and ICSC (SCLS designation), and has conducted real estate seminars and programs on a variety of topics. Additionally, Mr. Kagan sits on the Alumni Advisory Board for Harvard University’s Real Estate Academic Initiative and speaks regularly at industry events.

Jeff Mooallem

President, West Coast
serves as President, West Coast for Equity One. He is responsible for managing the company’s existing portfolio in the region, evaluating and executing acquisition and development opportunities throughout the West Coast, and leading the expansion and redevelopment of Equity One assets throughout California, including Serramonte Center in Daly City, California.

Mr. Mooallem joined Equity One in 2011. In his career he has overseen the leasing, construction, acquisition, disposition, redevelopment and/or management of all types of retail properties, including single-tenant facilities, strip plazas, lifestyle centers and regional malls. Prior to joining Equity One, Jeff was Senior Vice President of Development and Leasing at Miami, FL based Turnberry Associates, where he had responsibility for over five million square feet of retail centers, including the 2.7 million square foot Aventura Mall. He has also served as President of GL Commercial, a full-service real estate development company based in South Florida, and started his real estate career with Developers Diversified Realty in Cleveland, Ohio and Ram Realty Services in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.

Jeff received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston University and his Juris Doctor degree from New York’s Fordham University School of Law. Prior to starting his real estate career, Jeff practiced law at Willkie Farr & Gallagher in New York and Greenberg Traurig in West Palm Beach, Fla. He is a licensed attorney in New York and Florida and a licensed real estate broker in Florida. Jeff is based in Equity One’s San Francisco office.

Angie Valdes

Chief Accounting Officer
serves as Vice President - Chief Accounting Officer for Equity One. She is responsible for all company financial matters including accounting, tax and SEC reporting. Ms. Valdes joined Equity One in 2010. Prior to joining Equity One, Ms. Valdes served as Vice President - Chief Accounting Officer for TOUSA, Inc. and spent over eleven years at Ernst & Young LLP in the assurance practice specializing in real estate.

Ms. Valdes is a Certified Public Accountant and received her Bachelor’s of Science from the University of Miami where she graduated Cum Laude.

Sandy Mechael

Vice President, Chief Information Officer
serves as Vice President - Chief Information Officer for Equity One, Inc. She is responsible for all of the company's technology matters including but not limited to infrastructure and applications. Ms. Mechael joined Equity One in November of 2012. Prior to joining Equity One, Ms. Mechael served as the Senior Director of International IT Operations for Tishman Speyer for over eight years. She was responsible for all business intelligence applications supporting users worldwide. She also managed the development of numerous projects that were designed to enhance tenant and third party satisfaction with internal applications and web portals. Prior to Tishman Speyer, she spent nine years in various IT consulting roles (developer, business analyst, project and program manager) working for clients such as Kmart, UBS PaineWebber, and Bowne.

Ms. Mechael holds a Bachelor of Science from Columbia University School of Engineering and Applied Science and is a LEED Green Associate.
